On one hand, we are blessed that he has grown and developed and is a happy and healthy ONE year old. On the other hand, my momma heart is not ready for my baby to be a toddler. I only had a few tears when the day came. But it is good!
I woke him up with Happy Birthday and we played for a little while. He is such a happy morning baby! We ate muffins and bananas for breakfast. Played some more and watch a very small amount of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse before it was time to play again.
My cousin got married today so I was blessed to attend her temple wedding. It was great to see family and William loves his cousins. I think that was a great birthday for him, playing with kids closer to his age.
Then he had his first kids meal from Chick fil A. He ate it all, as we guessed he would. And he enjoyed every last bite of it.
Then he helped me shop for things for his party on Sunday. He is a ham in public and I just love him, someday he will fight me to go shopping and sit in the cart and wait for me to pick the right one, but for now I enjoy his babbling, smiles, laughter, peek-a-boo and pretending to be shy around people.
We ate dinner with Michael at the job site and enjoyed watching William talk to and play with the walls, I think he made four friends that night and enjoyed them thoroughly. William, I hope you grow up and become exactly the man you are meant to be. I want you to be strong in the Gospel, love yourself and others. Always listen to your dad and mom. And please always give your momma a hug and kiss. Please dont be afraid to dream big, you will achieve when you dream, so dream big and you will always succeed. You are loved by so many people, you have such a blessing of support behind you always. I love you my baby-toddler. You have made April 3 the second greatest day in my life!
